Which court will hear a matter?
It depends on the matter, not where you live. A ticket shows the court location where it will be dealt with. A Small Claims case is generally heard where the dispute arose or where the defendant lives or carries on business. The court is confirmed at intake, along with how the matter can be handled there.
What to send
- A photo or scan of the ticket, summons or claim
- The date on the ticket, or the date you were served
- Any contracts, invoices, messages or photos related to the matter
